The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the meeting in Minsk agreed to hold consultations between border agencies of the two countries. It is reported UNN with reference to the statement Poroshenko.
According to the President, the purpose of negotiations between the agencies will be to establish control at the border between Ukraine and Russia.
Poroshenko also said that an agreement was reached on the development of a peaceful settlement of the situation in the East of Ukraine. To develop the prerequisites of this plan, there will be consultations between the heads of the General staffs of the two countries.
"I can say that the logic of the peace plan was finally supported by all heads of States," said Poroshenko.
In addition, the President announced that an agreement was reached on holding 6 September negotiations involving three parties - the EU, Ukraine and Russia. It is planned that the main theme of the meeting will be energy issues, so part of them will be relevant heads of departments of Ukraine and Russia, and the EU Commissioner günther Oettinger.
Poroshenko added that Ukraine has agreed to hold consultations at the expert level on the issue of the economic consequences of the creation of a free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU.
The first bilateral meeting between Putin and Poroshenko lasted about two hours. It was preceded by consultations in the format of the Customs Union - Ukraine - European Union, which were devoted to the interaction of CU with Kiev in the signing by Ukraine of an Association agreement with the EU.
