• Crimean authorities have advised Poroshenko to get a new map of the world

  • The summits Ukraine — EU will never pass in the Crimea, said the head of the state Committee of the government of the Republic on inter-ethnic relations Zaur Smirnov. In an interview with RIA Novosti on Thursday 13 July, he noted that the Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko should give the updated political map of the world.

"A new card to the President of a neighboring country should be hung in the most conspicuous place, to continue not to be forgotten," said he, stressing that "Crimea is legitimate and an integral part of Russia, and this fact no one can dispute".

Smirnov added that statement Poroshenko on holding the next summit with the European Union in the Crimea and Donetsk has caused confusion among residents of the Republic. "After the siege of the Peninsula Kiev regime has lost the moral right to speak out loud about the Crimea", — concluded the official.

Earlier on Thursday, the media reported that the summit Ukraine — EU in Kiev completed it without the approval of the final statement. The Ukrainian side wanted to include in the document the phrase from the preamble to the Association agreement that the EU "recognises Ukraine's European aspirations and welcomes its European choice", but the representatives of the European Union was against it.

The Association agreement with Ukraine the Council of the EU approved July 11.

Crimea joined Russia in March 2014 according to the popular vote held on the Peninsula. Kiev has deemed the referendum illegal, and accused Moscow of occupation of the territory. The Kremlin stresses that the plebiscite be held with observance of all international norms.
