• Washington was suspected of the intention to continue support of "color revolutions"

  • The new administration in Washington is unlikely to respond to the call of US senators to conduct an investigation against employees of the Department of state involved in the interference in the internal Affairs of other States. This view was expressed by the first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Frants Klintsevich, reports RIA Novosti Monday, March 20.

"Donald trump, for all the dislike of his predecessor will not go to disclose information of this kind," — said Klintsevich.

He believes that even the outcome of a possible investigation is nothing new, the public would never know. "The fact that the so-called "colour revolutions" in a series which the biggest tragedy was the Ukraine, held with the support and participation of the United States, has long been an open secret," — said the MP.

However, he doubted that with the departure of Obama, this practice will stop. In his opinion, the call to investigate such interventions can be considered a sort of test of the new American administration, "as a test of the sincerity of the statements of Donald trump, he made before Congress that America respects the right of all countries to choose their own path".

17 March it became known that a group of U.S. senators from the Republican party sent a letter to the Secretary of state Rex Tillerson to investigate the attempts of the administration of former head of state Barack Obama to intervene in elections in several countries in Europe, Africa and Latin America through the financing of political parties.

28 September 2015 Russian leader Vladimir Putin in an interview with American journalist Charlie rose indicated on U.S. involvement in the overthrow of the legitimate President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. This approach to dealing with controversial political issues, including in the republics of the former USSR, Putin has described as "totally unacceptable".
