• In Suzdal will establish a monument to Tarkovsky

  • The sculptural composition, devoted to the 85 anniversary from the birthday of Andrei Tarkovsky and the 50th anniversary of the premiere of his film "Andrei Rublev", will appear in Suzdal in summer 2017. About it reports TASS with reference to the hotel "Suzdal", the territory of which a monument will be erected.

    "On the premises of the selected point with a good view of the location of the filming of "Andrei Rublev". The opening of the monument is scheduled for July 28," said hotel Manager Catherine Svidlova.

    The monument will include the bell (episode "Andrei Rublev" with the same name was filmed in Suzdal — approx. "Of the tape.ru"), the figure of Tarkovsky and the characters in the film, Rublev and master Boriska.

    "Andrei Rublev" was released in 1966. In the historical drama tells of Russia in the beginning of the XV century and the life of a monk-painter Andrei Rublev. The main role in the film was played by Anatoly Solonitsyn.
