The fifth St. Petersburg international cultural forum will be held from 1 to 3 December. As reported "Lente.ru" organizers,
its key topics will be the transition from the year of Russian cinema to the Year of ecology, the 125th anniversary of the composer Sergei Prokofiev and the 25th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The main venue will be the headquarters of the State Hermitage Museum (Central square) and the Russian ethnographic Museum (Business platform).
The forum will work more than ten sections: Movie (Director Fyodor Bondarchuk), Music (head Sergey Stadler), Ballet and dance (the heads of Nikolai Tsiskaridze, Boris Eifman), Theatre (Vladimir urin), Museums and exhibition projects (Director Mikhail Piotrovsky), Circus and street theatre (Director Vyacheslav Polunin), Folk art and intangible cultural heritage (supervisor: Ivan Lobanov), the Preservation of cultural heritage (head Oleg Ryzhkov), Mass communication (Director Sergei Mikhailov), Fine arts (head Semyon Mikhailovsky), Literature and reading (head Ludmila Verbitskaya), Education (head Nikolay Kropachev), the Creative environment and urbanism (head Sergey Kuznetsov), Tourism (head Maya Lomidze).
According to tradition, on the sidelines of the Forum will be held on the awards: this award "Maecenas of the year" and the prize named after Anatoly Lunacharsky for the promotion of cultural workers who are not members of the creative professions.
The Forum brings together leading global and Russian state and public figures, in 2015 the Forum was attended by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky, the General Director of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, Minister of cultural heritage, cultural activities and tourism of the Republic of Italy Dario francescini, artistic Director of the Mariinsky theatre Valery Gergiev, Director Jos Stelling, conductor and pianist Fabio Mastrangelo, prima ballerina of Mariinsky theatre Diana Vishneva, people's artist of the USSR Oleg Popov, and many others. The number of participants exceeded 11 thousand, and among them were representatives of 79 countries.
