• In Moldova, the former Deputy was detained on the case of espionage in favor of Russia

  • The former Deputy of Parliament of Moldova Iurie Bolboceanu detained in the investigation on the case of espionage in favor of Russia. About it reports "Interfax" with reference to the General Prosecutor of the Republic.

    Bolboceanu was detained on Friday, March 17, in his home search. The results of investigations are not reported. In the decision on detention States that "Bolboceanu maintained contact with the assistant military attache of the Russian Embassy in Moldova Alexander by Grudinin and handed him some information".

    Criminal case which is conducted by the Prosecutor's office for combating organized crime and special cases were instituted under article "Treason" and "Espionage" in the summer of 2016. Does not specify why the arrest was made in March, and from what date Bolboceanu became involved in the case.

    In February it was reported that in Lithuania the court sentenced a former officer of the armed forces (AF) of the Republic Sergey Pusina and citizen of Russia Sergey Moiseenko to imprisonment on charges of working for Russian intelligence.
