  • In the Krasnoyarsk region Governor, working in the region industrial enterprises, as well as of the Siberian Federal University signed an environment Charter. About it reported in a press-release "Norilsk Nickel" which also joined the Charter.

"In the development strategy of our region basic principle: edge to humans. The signing of the Charter — a willingness to take responsibility, not just to be a critic, the controller, and to become personally involved in improving the environment", — said the Governor of the region Victor Tolokonsky.

Vice-President of "Norilsk Nickel" Elena Bezdenezhnykh, said that the company participates in the project mainly for economic reasons. "More profitable to spend money on the environment now than later to reap the results," she explained.
