Announced by the Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan run trains between Ukraine and Iran to bypass Russia testifies to nonprofessionalism and incompetence of official. This is stated in the comments of the Chairman of the Board of the company "Ukrzaliznytsa" Adalbert Balcona, published on the website of state-owned companies.

Former Deputy Minister of infrastructure Alexander cava noted that the composition can only reach the Azerbaijani city of Astara. "Rail transport is possible only from Batumi to Astara. The nearest train station, Iranian Rasht — 160 kilometers. And this way is yet to be built. It may take 3-4 years. If there will arrive the Ukrainian agricultural products, it will have to ship in cars and to drive on territory of Iran" — said the expert, adding that on completion of the railway may take years.
A day earlier, Omeljan announced the train to Iran to transport agricultural products to bypass Russia. "Ukraine needs to develop a new international transport corridors in order to become a reliable transit bridge between Europe, Asia and the East," the official said at a meeting with Iranian representatives. According to him, the first part will pass through the territory of Georgia and Azerbaijan in the summer of 2017.
In January 2016 from Illichivsk (black sea) sea port in Odessa region via Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan was launched experimental train in China. On the road to the border with China is the composition took 15 days. Initially, the Kiev hoped that the way may take a maximum of nine days.
