The construction of the wall on the border of Ukraine with Russia could be hampered by insufficient funding. On Friday, August 11, reported the press Secretary of the Ukrainian State border service Oleg Slobodyan, "Interfax-Ukraine".
"The funding status of the project is slightly more than 15% of what is needed. For 2015-2016 had to allocate more than two billion (4.7 billion rubles — approx. "Of the tape.ru"), and allocated 600 million (about 1.4 billion)," said he.
According to him, in 2017 will be allocated funds in the amount of 500 million UAH (1.2 billion rubles). "But it is not yet implemented", — said Slobodyan.
Earlier, August 11 it was reported, the court in Kiev arrested the defendant in the case of embezzlement of funds for the construction of a wall on the border with Russia, Director of "Agency of protection of information" Alexander Kashuba. A day earlier it became known that structures erected by the government of Ukraine on the Eastern borders, in some places already have pedrali and tore out the boars.
The project "the Wall" was launched in September 2014, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who then held the post of head of the Cabinet of Ministers. According to the plan of the Ukrainian government, the borders with Russia for nearly two thousand kilometers need to be equipped with anti-tank ditches, watchtowers, signaling means, and the reference points for the border guards. Until 2018 for these goals was supposed to spend four billion hryvnia (about 200 million dollars).
