The majority of Ukrainian citizens — 53 percent — believe the fighting in the Donbass, the main problem of the country. This is evidenced by the results of a poll conducted by the Rating group, reports "Interfax".
In the second place, the Ukrainians have put corruption in public authorities (38 percent of respondents). Also, 29 percent of respondents among the major problems cited unemployment, 28 — low level of production, 27 — control of growth of prices.
The least significant issues according to respondents, are the lack of or the likelihood of disconnection of gas, electricity, water (4 percent), as well as the status of the Russian language (1 percent).
Among their personal problems, 48 percent of respondents reported higher prices, 35 per cent the situation in the South-East of Ukraine, 33 — unemployment.
In addition, the data of the survey showed, that the majority of Ukrainians — 74 percent — believe that over the past year, the economic situation in the country deteriorated. The vast majority of Ukrainians tend to consider themselves either poor (50 percent), or people with average incomes (41 percent).
Slightly less than half of the respondents said that the family budget enough for food and necessary clothes and shoes. Another 35 percent said that their income can purchase only products, and 18 percent said that they had to skimp on food to buy clothes and pay utility bills.
The survey was conducted from 28 September to 7 October with the participation of 2.4 thousand residents of Ukraine aged 18 years.
