The Moscow arbitration court completely rejected the lawsuit of Russian Railways to the Russian Federation represented by the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of labor and social protection about the recovery of seven billion rubles. On Friday, March 17, reports RIA Novosti.
The railway company is required to compensate for losses incurred due to transportation of passengers at government controlled rates in 2009. The claim was submitted to arbitration in the fall of 2015, since the hearing has been repeatedly postponed, as the parties hoped to settle claims out of court.
RZD and its branches quite often are suing the Finance Ministry for the transportation of passengers at rates below market. The largest lawsuit was filed in 2013 when the company demanded to compensate her for nearly nine billion rubles. According to the court of the Moscow district, the establishment of the state of the marginal prices is not a benefit to consumers and the method of regulation of activities of natural monopoly.
