  • India intends to buy Russian cruise missiles "Caliber" with the latest high-precision guidance system and the ability to destroy ground targets. On Thursday, September 1, according to "Izvestia", citing a source in diplomatic circles.

    According to the publication, the official Delhi has such weapons, but in the "anti-performance", and now wishes to acquire the modification, successfully employed by Russia against terrorists in Syria. The newspaper said that India is interested in rockets, in fact, are the same, that is, with high-precision guidance system, however, the range in the export version, in accordance with international agreements, reduced to 300 kilometers.

    As the newspaper writes, experts do not exclude that India will continue to be able itself to increase the range of "Caliber". And the appearance of her latest models of these missiles will give an additional impetus to the military-industrial complex of the country.

    The newspaper said that the Indian side has prepared the relevant proposals, they will be transmitted formally during the visit of President Vladimir Putin, scheduled for October.
