• Media reported about the nomination of the new Ambassador of Russia to the UN

  • The new permanent representative of Russia to the UN will be Deputy foreign Minister Vasily Nebenzia. About it the newspaper "Izvestia" said a source in the Russian foreign Ministry.

    "The issue with the Ambassador is already decided (...) All the documents have been sent to the United Nations", — leads edition of the words of the interlocutor.

    Vassily Nebenzia was born in 1962, in 1983 graduated from MGIMO. In 1996-2000 he served as a senior Advisor to the permanent mission of Russia to the UN in new York from 2003 to 2006 — Deputy Director of Department of international organizations Ministry of foreign Affairs, 2006-2011 — zampolpreda of the Russian Federation to the UN office in Geneva. In 2013 he received the appointment to the post of Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia.
