  • The Russian government and the government of the people's Republic of China signed an agreement on cooperation in joint film production. About it reported in a press release received by the editors".ru" on Tuesday, July 4.

    Under the agreement, the entertainment companies of the two countries — the Russian Studio "Ricky" in the face of the company "Smeshariki" and the Central channel of the Chinese Television company CCTV Animation — signed a Memorandum on joint production of TV series "croche and Panda".

    "Cooperation between Russia and China in the field of animation production holds great promise for the entertainment industry of both countries", — said the Minister of culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky.

    "The project created the most popular animated characters of Russia and China, able to absorb, perhaps, the best of contemporary animated culture of our countries. Convinced of the success of this and future collaborative animation projects in China and Russia", — said the head of Department.

    The Studio are planning for one and a half years to produce 52 episodes in 3D CGI. Each series will last 12 minutes.
