90-year life in Moscow died Joseph M. drize, one of the leading developers of the national system of military defense. This was reported TASS the press service of the concern ASD "Almaz-Antey".

Drize was born on 20 March 1927 in the city of Pochep of the Bryansk region. In 1950 he graduated from the Moscow aviation Institute and since then worked at NII-20 (1966 — Electromechanical research Institute NIEMI), one of the largest development centers of the air defense. Since 1986 he has been chief designer since 2008 concurrently held the position of project Manager — chief designer of the concern "Almaz-Antey".
With the direct participation of drize was created by the anti-aircraft missile systems military air defense "Krug", "OSA" and "tor". In particular, drize was the chief designer of the complex "tor".
Winner of the Lenin prize (1967, for the creation of the military air defense system "Circle"), twice awarded the order of Lenin.
