The investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) has revoked the petition for arrest of the former Prosecutor of the Leningrad region Stanislav Ivanov. This was told by the acting head of the Department of interaction with mass-media Svetlana Petrenko, reports on Friday, November 4, TASS.
"After reviewing the medical records [health Ivanov], the investigator withdrew a petition for election to it measures of restraint in form of detention," — said the representative of the RCDS.
Petrenko added that the man was "charged with receiving a bribe while performing his duties as Prosecutor of the Leningrad region in a large scale in the amount of 20 million rubles" (part 6 of article 290 of the criminal code).
