The American channel HBO launched a continuation of the series "Young Dad". The Director, as in the original project, will be Paolo Sorrentino, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The sequel will be called "New Dad." Will participate in the project, Jude law, who played a major role in the original, is not disclosed. Start filming scheduled for late 2018.
"Young Dad" tells about an eccentric young American of Italian descent lenny Belardo (lo), which elected Pope Pius XIII. The main character is trying to hold in the Church of radical reforms, which the cardinals begin to weave intrigues against him. The only season of the series was released in 2016. It also played Diane Keaton and Silvio Orlando.
Sorrentino has directed such films as "the Great beauty", "Youth", "Superfluous man" and "wherever you were". "Young dad" is the first episode in the career of the Director.
