Aircraft of the British traveler Colin Hales (Hales Colin) made an emergency landing in Sakhalin region. On Wednesday, November 2 reported the press service of the air Harbor of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
The Hales went to this town, when his vehicle was in the area of a cold air front and iced. He eventually landed the plane at the airport of the city Shahtersk, located 357 km from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. After solving problems with the vessel, the Briton made it to the destination.
As told to the traveller, he flew to Russia in August and planned to stay here only 10 days. Then he wanted to go to China, but to wait for flight clearance from the PRC authorities had for too long.
During this time he managed to visit the cities of Anadyr (Chukotka), Magadan and Khabarovsk, and then went to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. According to Hales, he is now to return to the UK, as his plane is not designed for cold weather. For some time Colin will stay in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, then will fly to Japan and then home.
Colin is an aeronautical engineer and businessman. He personally redesigned and modernized his light aircraft. The British arrived in Russia as part of world tour, which lasts for two years.
