Nearly half of Russians fear that the worsening of Russia's relations with Western countries could escalate into a third world war. This is evidenced by the results of the survey "Levada-center" published on the organization on Monday, October 31.
In the survey, which was conducted October 21-24, was attended by 1,600 people. 48 percent of respondents admitted that they feared the outbreak of war due to the tense situation in the international arena.
While 52 percent of survey participants have a positive attitude towards carrying out Russia's military operation in Syria. Approximately the same number of respondents (49 percent) are in favor that Moscow continued to intervene in the Affairs of that state.
