• The President has compared the tranche of the IMF with the air

  • The next tranche of financial assistance from the International monetary Fund (IMF) one billion dollars Ukraine needs a "like air". This was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, reports the TV channel "112 Ukraine".

In addition, he criticized the actions of "certain politicians", which together with foreign enemies were trying to put the bandwagon on decision-making on implementation of IMF conditions. "I want to emphasize that no one can stop us on the way of reforms", — stressed the head of Ukrainian state.

According to Poroshenko, the country already meets all the conditions set by the EU for financial assistance. This assistance, the President said, will go immediately after receipt of the IMF funds to accounts in the national Bank, is 600 million euros of additional funds.

The IMF planned to review the issue of allocation of funds to Ukraine at the meeting of the Board of Directors on March 20, but later the item disappeared from the agenda of the meeting. March 19, the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance said, postponing the discussion of the next tranche of the IMF allocated to Ukraine, is connected with the necessity of recalculation of economic indicators in connection with the blockade of Donbass. As another reason for the postponement was called Russia's recognition of the documents issued in the breakaway territories of Donetsk and Lugansk national republics.
