Press Secretary of the President of Ukraine Svyatoslav Tsigalko said that the entire wages of Petro Poroshenko is transferred to charity. On Tuesday, November 1, he wrote on his page on Facebook.
Thus the press Secretary of the head of state commented on the statement of the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Yulia Tymoshenko about the secret increase of the salary of the leader of the country. According to Tsigalko, he was forced to respond to the lies spread by the party leader "the native land" regarding the salary of the President.
"I note that the salary of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, starting in 2014, shall be transferred for charitable purposes," wrote Tsigalko. He also stressed that the size of the official salary of the leader of the country is equal to 28 thousand hryvnia (about 70 thousand rubles), other components of wages (bonuses, premiums) is not installed, and no changes are expected.
As reports "RIA Novosti-Ukraine", earlier on Tuesday, Tymoshenko said that the government reportedly took a decision to increase retroactively the salaries of the Prime Minister, the President and members of the government. According to Tymoshenko, the Cabinet of Ministers secret decision increased the salaries of top officials of up to 100 thousand hryvnia (247 thousand) per month.
31 October it was reported that Poroshenko filled the electronic Declaration for 2015. According to the document, as President, he earned 121 thousand hryvnia (about 300 thousand). However, in the Declaration stated that the total income of the Ukrainian leader was more than 62 million UAH (about 155 million), it holds securities for UAH 20 million (slightly less than 50 million rubles) and 104 companies, and his Bank accounts in the International investment Bank is 26.3 million $ 14.4 thousand euros and 540,5 thousand hryvnia (1,350 million rubles).
Also Poroshenko has bought for 30 million UAH (75 million) building five land plots with total area about 35 thousand square meters. With regard to movable property, the President of Ukraine and members of his family are the owners of seven cars and boats.
