• Drunken Russians are twice as likely to have to commit crimes

  • The number of crimes committed in an alcohol intoxication, for five years has almost doubled. This was stated by interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev reports RIA Novosti.

    "I want to note the trend of growth in crimes committed in an alcohol intoxication. Since 2011, their share increased almost twice — with 20 to 37 percent. This situation is typical for most regions. Of particular concern are deaths caused by alcohol — only 2015 more than 58 thousand people," — said Kolokoltsev.

    He added that over the past eight years in Russia decreased by one third, the level of alcohol consumption per capita, and also decreased the incidence of alcoholic psychosis. The Minister noted that governments at all levels should work together to address prevention of alcoholism.

    In February, the Kirov region in relation to 65-year-old male opened criminal case, after he set fire to his 65-year-old mistress. Seniors drank alcohol, but the woman refused to give money to buy Supplement. The couple had a quarrel, during which the man doused lying on the bed mistress with gasoline and threw a smoldering cigarette butt. The woman suffered burns on 90 percent of his body and died in hospital three days later.
