• Peskov clarified the situation with Putin's trip to Nagasaki

  • Russian President Vladimir Putin was not going to visit Nagasaki in the framework of the December visit to Japan. On Thursday, November 3, reported the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS.

    "Not planned, never visit Nagasaki in the course of the visit, worked out another scheme, together with our Japanese partners," — said the representative of the Kremlin.

    Earlier Thursday, the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko reported, that the Russian leader will not be able to come to Nagasaki in December due to the tight schedule. "But he said that at the first opportunity that he gets, he will visit this city," — said the MP.

    2 September on the sidelines of the Eastern economic forum was held in Vladivostok meeting of the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Russian President. At its end, Abe announced that Putin's visit to Japan will take place at the end of the year, and their meeting will be held December 15 in the city of Nagato. At the same time Putin was invited to Nagasaki.
