  • The company "Nortel" in the framework of the Krasnoyarsk economic forum has presented four new projects to improve the quality of life in the region: development of the village tohard on the Taimyr Peninsula, the floodplain of the river Bazaiha in Krasnoyarsk, open Golf club, and a children's Park "Kvantorium". About it reports the press service of the company.

    The first project will be implemented jointly with the administration of the Taimyr district. The company will spend on new housing for the village of 90 million rubles. The same amount will be allocated from the budget of the district on the creation of social infrastructure for the houses, said the head of the Peninsula Sergey Tkachenko. "This is a Prime example of public-private partnership", — said Vice-President of "Norilsk Nickel" Elena Bezdenezhnykh.

    The arrangement of the floodplain flowing through Basahi Krasnoyarsk will be carried out jointly with the city authorities. "I am confident that together we will do a lot to transform the urban environment to become a modern, comfortable and convenient", — commented on the initiative of the mayor Edkham Akbulatov.

    Also Norilsk Nickel has signed agreements with the Ministry of sport of the region and with the Siberian Federal University (SFU) on modernization of existing and creation of new modern sports infrastructure in the territory of Krasnoyarsk region. In particular, in the framework of the agreement it is planned to construct in Krasnoyarsk Golf center.

    To outdoor April 21, children's Technopark "Kvantorium" in Krasnoyarsk, dedicated 75,7 and 56.3 million rubles from regional and Federal budgets. "Nornikel" in turn, invests in the project $ 40 million. "This site will form a new generation of talented, professional people who, given the skills at school age, will be able to work in interesting companies, research institutes, universities, which will achieve significant for the country and the world results", — said at the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.
