• In Western Ukraine, the parishioners of the force took control of the Church of the Moscow Patriarchate

  • In the village Kynakhivtsi Ternopil region of Ukraine was a conflict between representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kiev and Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-KP and UOC-MP). This was reported on the regional Department of the National police.

    The incident occurred on the evening of may 15. The rector of the Church of the Holy apostles Peter and Paul, belonging to the Moscow Patriarchate, said that supporters of the Orthodox Church of the Kiev Patriarchy has damaged his clothes, broke the locks of the front door and entered the Church, the report said.

    As I wrote on the page Facebook user Valery Ramsko, the community of Kynakhivtsi voted for the transfer of the local Church in Ternopil diocese of the UOC-KP. However, when the parishioners presented the decision of the Abbot of the temple, there was a fight. Villagers refused to let the temple, but they pushed the Abbot and entered the Church. Currently, representatives of the sealed temple of the UOC-KP.

    In January unknown persons tried burn the temple of the UOC-MP in Kyiv. It was reported that four glass bottles with an incendiary mix bounced from the walls of the wooden Church and not broken.

    In November 2016 in Pavlograd Dnipropetrovsk region unknown burned Orthodox Church of Cyril and Methodius, belonging to the Moscow Patriarchate. In September, the militants of the banned in Russia as extremist organization "Right sector" in the village of Kuty, Ternopil oblast captured the Orthodox Church, the UOC-MP and held it for the service.
