Construction of wooden houses has a "huge potential" in Russia, said Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, his words leads TASS on Friday, August 11.
"I believe that this kind of development in our country there is a huge potential given our forest resources", — said Medvedev at a meeting with activists of the party "United Russia" in the Volga Federal district in response to the proposal to expand this kind of construction.
According to the Prime Minister, the wooden house is not only environmentally friendly, but "very modern", and they also allow you to retain heat and can stand for "decades" — if they applied the right technology, the Prime Minister added.
For the preparation of sites for such buildings Medvedev has proposed to consider the possibility of amending the Forest code of Russia.
In April, the idea of construction of wooden houses in Moscow approved Sergei Sobyanin. In Moscow will create a certain trial "building spot" of such homes.
