• Medina noted the high level of cooperation with China

  • The Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky told about the meeting with his Chinese counterpart Luo Suhana. His words on Thursday, 6 July, reports RIA Novosti.

    "Yesterday at a meeting with Chinese Minister we noted that cultural cooperation between our two countries is currently at the highest level in the history", — said the head of the Ministry of culture.

    "The most promising area of cultural cooperation at this stage is the cinema," added Medina.

    He said that in the field of classical art, which includes ballet, Opera, drama theatre and Museum activities, cooperation with China is also being "extremely active".

    "The more joint projects we implement, the better cultural cooperation and mutual understanding between our countries and peoples", — stressed the Minister.

    Tuesday it was reported, that the Russian government and the government of the people's Republic of China signed an agreement on cooperation in joint film production. Under the agreement, the entertainment companies of the two countries — the Russian Studio "Ricky" in the face of the company "Smeshariki" and the Central channel of the Chinese Television company CCTV Animation — signed a Memorandum on joint production of TV series "croche and a Panda."
