• Lukashenko instructed to investigate the incident with "radioactive" by plane from Armenia

  • President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko gave instructions to investigate the incident with a radioactive cargo of the plane, which was flying from Armenia to the EU transit through Gomel. On Monday, March 20, reports the press service of the President.

    Lukashenko instructed the state bodies to report to it on the results of the investigation of the case. As informed the head of the border control State border Committee of Belarus Oleg Lyashuk, the level of background radiation of the cargo, which was transported by plane from Armenia has exceeded 250 times, reports Sputnik of Belarus.

    "19 Mar at 12:30 in airport Gomel flight from Armenia via Belarus to Bulgaria arrived cargo plane, which was carrying a cargo in a box marked about ionizing radiation," said Lyashuk.

    In February it was reported that the inhabitant of Ekaterinburg was trying to get at a defense plant in Kyrgyzstan under the usual metal about seven tons of dangerous materials. The cargo could be used to create weapons of mass destruction.
