• Kyiv court postponed the antitrust lawsuit against Gazprom

  • The economic court of Kiev postponed to November 21 consideration of the claim of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (ACM) to "Gazprom". On Monday, October 31,, according to RIA Novosti.

    The claim about compulsory collecting from a Russian company $ 3.4 billion on charges of abuse of a monopoly position in the market will be discussed on 21 November at 13.50 Moscow time.

    21 September became it is known, the Supreme court of Ukraine refused to consider the request "Gazprom" about the cancellation penalty to $ 3.3 billion. The document notes that the Russian company filed a claim not supported by evidence.

    The nature of the violation, in the opinion of the AMC, is the omission of Gazprom in ensuring gas transit through the territory of Ukraine "on reasonable terms". The Committee came to the conclusion that the monopoly position "Gazprom" has led to infringement of interests of "Naftogaz of Ukraine".
