The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov has commented on the decision of the Ministry of culture of Russia to issue a distribution certificate to the film "Matilda" directed by Alexei Uchitel. His arguments he published in the Instagram Thursday, August 10.
"It was expected and not surprising. The Ministry could not abandon their offspring. After all the shooting is financed from the budget. Not just one culture against itself" — wrote Kadyrov.
"Imagine what spiritual, moral, ethical, Patriotic values-filled picture, if the hall is not allowed persons under 16 years. We have someone feeding has become fashionable to promote in art immorality", he added.
In this context, Kadyrov has remembered the art-group "War" and their graffiti on the Foundry bridge, for which the artists received the prize "Innovation". "To receive the award, it is sufficient to draw graffiti in imitation of Western trends", — said the head of Chechnya.
The Ministry of culture issued the rental license "Matilda" earlier on Thursday. The film will be released in October.
