• The state Duma rejected the draft law on quotas for entering the universities of the villagers

  • In the state Duma in the first reading rejected a bill establishing quotas for students from the villages to enroll in universities. About it show information from the database of the lower house of Parliament.

    It was assumed that the quota was to be provided from Federal, regional and local budgets. While rural graduates was to be one fifth of the entire target acquisition.

    Past this programme the villagers, having graduated from universities, had to return home and work for three years in one of the local organizations.

    The bill was proposed by group of deputies from the party "Fair Russia". According to them, he had to prevent the outflow of young professionals from the village.

    Previously this bill was rejected by the state Duma Committee for education and science, noting that to resolve these problems you have to use other, non-educational incentives: salary increase, creation of comfortable housing conditions, the development of infrastructure.

    In 2015, the Russian foreign Ministry, the Ministry of education and Rossotrudnichestvo addressed the government of Russia with a request to increase one-third quota for foreign students. The Agency argued that a large number of people wishing to study in Russia.
