• The head of Sevastopol told about scary interesting sailing regatta

  • In Sevastopol acting Governor Dmitry Ovsyannikov took part in a sailing regatta "Russian spring 2017", held in honor of the third anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with Russia. The competition was also attended by the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov and the heads of North Caucasus regions. On Monday, March 20, according to local newspaper ForPost.

    The sailing competition held in Sevastopol for the third time. They are supported by the Plenipotentiary representative of RF President in the North Caucasian Federal district Oleg Belaventsev.

    "I really scary, but interesting", — said Ovsyannikov before the start. He noted that the main thing for him not to be on the last or first places. ACTING Sevastopol Governor added that he considers immodest wish to win, because it has no experience of sailing.

    In turn Aksenov stressed that participates in the regatta "as ballast". He suggested that they put him in a boat with an experienced sailor. "Otherwise we all drown," joked the head of the Crimea.

    As the ForPost, after the race of the head of the North Caucasus regions, Crimea and Sevastopol have discussed prospects of development of tourism and the law on the introduction of the daily resort fee. In November 2016 Ovsyannikov addressed to the Minister for North Caucasus Affairs Lev Kuznetsov with a request to exclude the city from the pilot project for the resort collection. In his opinion, this measure would increase the cost of tourism products.

    16 Mar three thousand Sevastopol students staged a flashmob formed on the Nakhimov square, the living flag of Russia. The action was supported by Ovsyannikov. "You guys are great. This is a cool event that you're here. You participate in the action, and I could not come here," said Sevastopol Governor.

    Sevastopol and the Crimea was reunited with Russia according to the results of the March 16 2014 referendum. The events that took place on the Peninsula with 20-th of February and in March the plebiscite was included in the story called Crimean spring.
