• The film "28 Panfilov" became the laureate of the festival of the BRICS countries

  • Russian filmmakers Kim Druzhinin and Andrey Shalopa received the award of the second festival of the BRICS countries over the film "28 Panfilov". This was reported on The Ministry of culture of Russia on Wednesday, 28 June.

    The film won in the category "Best Director". As told by a member of the jury, Director Sergei Mokritsky, "the picture is very loved by the Chinese audience".

    The event was held from 23 to 27 June, it was presented 30 films from member countries of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).

    In December 2016 Shalopa received prize of the Russian military historical society "fidelity to historical truth". He was handed a statuette of "Soldiers of history".

    Tape "28 Panfilov" was released on 24 November 2016. The film tells about the feat of 28 soldiers of the 316th rifle division, killed in November 1941, fighting off a tank attack on Moscow. In October, feature film looked at the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Kazakhstan's leader Nursultan Nazarbayev.
