• Experts have seen an increased demand for Russian tourists in Germany

  • Was held in Moscow dedicated to the German travel industry event for the German Travel Industry Day (GTID). About it reported in a press release from the National tourist office of Germany, submitted to "the Tape.ru" on Monday, March 20.

    In the meeting held March 16, was attended by representatives of tour operators, airlines, airports, hotels and other organizations from both countries.

    Participants GTID noted a revival of demand for Russian tourists in Germany. The experts noted that in 2016 the Russians issued about 260 thousand German visas. This is nearly 2 percent more than the previous year.

    In addition, in January and February this year the consular services of Germany were issued 20 percent more permits to enter for the Russians compared to the same period in 2016.

    The head of the tourist office of Germany in Russia Alla Belikova also noticed that the number of tourists from Russia began to recover. Executive Director of the Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze, in turn, said that the European country is one of the leaders in the number of independent travelers from Russia.

    According to the insurance company "SOGAZ", Germany headed the rating of the most safe for Russian tourists countries in Europe in 2016.
