  • Company Mail.ru Group shows steady growth of revenues through increasing the number of active advertising sites. About it "lente.ru" said commercial Director Calltouch Aleksey Avdeev.

    According to report, revenue Mail.Ru Group advertising grew by 28.7 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 5.3 million rubles. For comparison, the proceeds from the sale of advertising "Yandex" rose by 21 percent compared to the same indicator for the second quarter of 2016.

    The expert explained that the company has stepped up advertising of its new products purchased in the beginning of the year, including service ridesharing Beep Car and delivery service Delivery Club. Avdeev also said that revenues also had a positive impact updating existing products — for example, these include the category of "Vkontakte" for business.

    "As for mobile advertising, its impact on revenue is obvious, as the share of mobile traffic continues to grow," the expert added.

    Mail.ru Group also raised the financial forecast for 2017 from 17-21% to 23-26 percent. According to Avdeev, the company may even exceed the updated projections, barring unforeseen circumstances in the economy.
