• BRICS decided to create satellites for remote sensing of the Earth

  • The BRICS countries have agreed to establish a joint satellite constellation for remote sensing of the Earth. Reports RIA Novosti, told reporters on Tuesday, November 1st, during the Airshow Airshow China in 2016 China Zhuhai General Director of Roscosmos Igor Komarov.

    "Yesterday we held the first meeting of space agencies of the BRICS countries. The meeting was very fruitful. We agreed to joint development of advanced satellite systems of remote sensing of the Earth," he said.

    In addition, Mosquitoes reported about the interest of China in the purchase of Russian rocket engines. "We are talking about such practical areas as engines. Chinese partners are interested in such areas as the purchase of engines and development of advanced engines and launch vehicles, including heavy class," he said.

    The next meeting of the space agencies of the BRICS countries will be held in Moscow in may-June 2017.
