American judoka Tyler Milton refused to go on the podium together with Russian Philip Ivanov at the World police and fire games in Los Angeles (USA). About Ivanov said in his account Instagram.
"Do not have one person on a pedestal. American was the third, but, perhaps for political reasons (Russia) he found it necessary not to appear on the award, well... Everyone is born free choice! Most importantly, we are fine," wrote Russian.
Ivanov took first place in the weight category over 100 kg.
World police and fire games held in Los Angeles from 7 to 17 August. The competition is attended by representatives of 67 countries. Russia was represented by 200 athletes. The games are held since 1985 every odd year.
